Visual Melting Point Apparatus
Determines the melting range of a solid by visual observation.
Heats a packed capillary at a controlled ramp rate while the operator observes the sample through a magnified window, recording the temperatures at which melting begins and ends. The range, not a single figure, is the reportable result.
